AmCham Shanghai Food, Agriculture, and Beverage (FAB) Committee Conference

AmCham Shanghai presents the half-day 2021 AmCham Food, Agriculture & Beverage (FAB) Conference, with an ensuing open-to-all food fair, plus happy hour with draft beer and wine tasting. This year's conference will focus on key factors that facilitate growth in an increasingly complex market. Topics for industry professionals include future growth opportunities in China, lessons learned from the pandemic, maximizing sales and communication channels, potential market disruptors, regulation changes, and more.

NextStep Studio's founder, and Urban Food Group co-founder, Greg PRUDHOMMEAUX will be joining the panel during this event organized by the Food, Agriculture and Beverage Committee from the American Chamber in Shanghai. Greg will be sharing his point of view and experience on Cloud Kitchens and Consumer trends with the future of F&B in China.

Topics to be discussed:

  • Unlocking Opportunities

With their newfound perspectives, CEOs in the food & beverage industry will reflect on the year 2020. We will hear the discussion of the challenges they overcame, and their respective response or workarounds. The discussion will lead to the CEOs' visions for the industry in the coming years.

  • Channel Surfing – Strategies to Boost Your Growth

As consumers in China are rapidly evolving, marketing channels are increasingly diversified, pressuring companies to keep up. Speakers from various sub-industries will share their respective strategies for navigating a complicated market, and key points for maximizing sales on different digital platforms.

  • "The Invisible Competitor" – Threat of New Entrants

Speakers will introduce budding players that might become prominent competitors in the near future while also discussing potential risks and legality issues that may arise with emerging businesses. We will hear about the global emergence of "ghost kitchens" aka "cloud kitchens" and other trends, as the speakers examine their potentials and caveats.

The 2021 FAB Conference will also feature a separate Food Fair and an open Cocktail Mixer from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm after the conference, please click here to register for the mixer separately.

This conference is organized with the support of AmCham Shanghai's Food, Agriculture & Beverage Committee. The committee facilitates sharing of best practices across the farm-to-fork supply chain. The Committee aims to be an information resource, a networking forum, and a government engagement platform for key industry issues. The Committee helps members increase food safety awareness among the general public and lead the implementation of industry best practices. The Committee also engages regulatory bodies to advocate member interests while assisting members with regulatory compliance.
