Ana RAMOS becomes NextStep Studio's in-house startup performance coach

Being a startup founder is intensely stressful, and more often than not, it gets lonely at the top. It feels like there is no one to listen to your honest thoughts, greatest fears and grandiose visions.
This is the reason why we aim to create a safe space for founders to find their right place and achieve a balanced mindset. With this purpose in mind, we welcome Ana RAMOS, our Coach-in-Residence, to work with our Founders. Ana will be provided with a valuable sounding board, development resources, encouragement and the required dose of optimism when needed!
Ana RAMOS is a Certified Executive Coach who works with startup CEO’s, co-founders and executive teams. She also works with large, Fortune 500 operating in China and Asia, designing and delivering workshops on leadership performance improvement, personal development, team integration, effective intercultural communication, innovation sprints and change programs.
She has over 18 years’ combined experience in Talent Acquisition & Talent Management, Human Resources Business Partnership and Business management fields with almost 16 years’ experience specifically in China and Asia. Since arriving in China in 2004, she joined a leading executive search firm and professionally advanced through a number of different positions, from search consultant to her latest executive role as Managing Director for Shanghai office until June 2013. Over the last three years, Ana held dual roles as the Asia Team Leader for the firms’ Industrial, Engineering & Logistics Global Practice. Prior to joining the HR field in China, she held management roles in retail, service and engineering & automation companies.
From 2014 onwards, Ana focused her professional career on working with individuals and corporations to coach and design programs and leadership workshops as well as support multinationals in team effective communication, development initiatives, performance, innovation and change programs.
Ana has a background in business & marketing. She is an ICC certified Executive Master Coach, COI, COF accredited practitioner as well as a certified SHL OPQ, DISC and HAST (Harrison Assessment Test). Since 2016, she completed her certification as LEGO SERIOUSPLAY trainer and Design Thinking facilitator. Ana is also certified in the “Gender Diversity Executive Program” from INSEAD.
She speaks Spanish, English, Chinese and some French and German; was born and raised in Mexico and has been living in different continents since 1999 and finally settled in China since 2004.
She is the final step of our onboarding process for portfolio companies. Once we have validated the Business Model, the Market Fit, and the Financials and Legal compliance of a project, Ana will make sure that the vision of the co-founders, commitment and interests are all aligned.
